Winnipeg contralto Joanna Loepp Thiessen is a graduate student in Vocal Performance at the University of Manitoba Desautels Faculty of Music where she studies with Tracy Dahl and Monica Huisman. 

Joanna is equally at home in dramatic and comedic repertoire, and has recently performed with Manitoba Opera, University of Manitoba Chamber Opera, Manitoba Underground Opera and Little Opera Company, and has attended the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute.
